a Pike angling web site
In March 2007 I bought a Portabote for Pike fishing and registered it under the name “HECHTJÄGER” (Pike Hunter).
A few years down the line and I can honestly say that I do not regret the purchase and it has certainly made my fishing more interesting and varied. If you want a safe boat for small to medium size waters but have nowhere to store a trailered boat then a Portabote could be just what you’re looking for.
This web site was initially just a collection of photos to show how I had adapted the boat for Pike fishing but it has since expanded to include boating & tackle solutions, tackle reviews, video footage and basically anything that I feel other anglers might find interesting!
You will find information and tackle reviews covering fly fishing, lure fishing and bait fishing. Introductions to the Pike Anglers Club (PAC), the Lure Angler’s Society (LAS) and the Pike Fly Fishing Association (PFFA) can be found.

Due to new work commitments my time is rather limited so I don’t really have the time to demonstrate the boat as some have asked.
