NEWS Saturday, December 15, 2001 6:44 PM Hurrra! Release won Linoclnshire battle of the bands 2001! After 3 rounds and 25 bands the judges decided that Release were the champs. Thanks to every one who came to watch and support us, and to all the other bands who we battled against. There really is some qulity talent about and around Lincoln. Most of which we'd never heard of until this competition. Blinker, Mutley, Glass Onion to name but a few...Thanks for your encouraging words. The price for winning BOTB is a couple of days in the recording studio at Lincoln University, which we hope to use early next year to start recording another EP. Although we do like the first EP we recorded together, time has moved on and we nolonger feel that EP represents our current sound, the sound that we like and want record companies to hear. So.....into the studio we go and hopefully we will appear a week or so later with a recording that will be a true represention of our current sound and hopefully one that will get us some sort of record deal. Hmmmm......?
