You can choose to have your windows supplied with or without window furniture fitted. For period replacements windows we can supply and fit traditional wraught iron window furniture. Should you require a design to match existing windows we will be happy to try and match them from the product lists of our suppliers.
Mouldings back to products We can try and match moulding profiles on mullions and glazing bars to match existing windows or the period detail you are trying to achieve. There are numerous types of mullions in both timber and stone which maybe found in old buildings
Finishing back to products
Our basic product is supplied unfinished (bare wood) for painting or varnishing on site.
Using micro-porus paints may make maintenance easier. The painted timber will need a wipe over to clean before applying just one coat of paint. When painting windows care needs to be taken to ensuire there is not a build up of paint in corners of the frame that might make opening and closing the windows difficult.
Draught Proofing For draught proofing we recommend the "Schelgel Aquamac" system. and your windows can be supplied with this already fitted. Installationback to products We do not install windows. Dependent upon your location we may be able to recommend a contractor to undertake this work. |
