Dedicated to the Proposition that Cardassians do Have Hearts

About the stories: Except for the very last one, these fics were written during a two-year period from the middle of DS9's fifth season to the middle of its seventh (1997-1999). The Epidemiology of Hope was an intentional rewrite of the events of the series finale, but all the rest of them attempted to be consistent with canon at the time of their composition. Given the catastrophic events depicted in What You Leave Behind, however, few of them now are.

The stories fall into three groups. There are two story cycles, each internally consistent. The first, Odo on Terok Nor, concentrates on Odo's activities as chief of security under the Cardassians through three stories set during that time, with two others detailing repercussions of his time on Terok Nor as they affect him in the future.

The second, Family Ties, chronicles a complex web of relationships among Garak, Dukat, Kira and their families, both before and after the events that occur during DS9, spanning several generations.

The third group, In the Corners of Canon, contains unrelated stories set during the run of the show.
