This site has been designed to cater for sixth form or college students studying the African-American writer Alice Walker and her 1982 novel 'The Color Purple.'  The site is however flexible enough to be of interest to other readers and your comments and feedback are welcomed.  If you have any comments regarding the site or conversely, if you would like to see your essay appear in the Exam Questions section on this site, copy and paste it to this address: mtk101@york.ac.uk.  All essays are read
