Project Diary

If you do anything to add to the working please feel free to send to Keyman and he will put it up on the site. Most reports of actions will go in the diary unless other locations are requested. References to source are made after the date, a key to which is at the bottom of the page. Material so far (13th july 2003) is taken from my own working diary. I have included those pieces of dream diary and other elements that seemed relevant to the project. Starting from the bottom of the page and scrolling up will give you a chronological account.

Dec 30th 2002 - Hekate's supper rite (Laguz rune)

Dec 13th 2002 (ML) Last night (12 Dec) went to sleep thinking about Libation rite. Water to water, lustralised water being used. Earth may be done (cakes and stone) now water so next fire then air perhaps for Jan and Feb 30th. Remembered to take some food on 30th Dec. Wanted to use basic Greek clearing b4 libation: Hekas, hekas, este bebeloi and sense of short 'text' in Greek to be said -needs to be found. Circle fountain and then move towards edge to pour as basic structure; informal. Thought of gnosis, shifting into state: through circling - needs to be informal and relaxed, yet effective.

The red and the white: semen and menstrual blood. Keep coming up against this since first noting it in Grant's kalas (Cult of shadows).

J and H to do libation, suggested using the Laguz rune they've been working with. Water or a leek. Flow, water, sea. Fertility. Healing power of renewal. Imaginationa and psychic matters. Dreams, fantasies, mysteries. The unknown hidden deep. Underworld. Succes in travel or acquisition but with possibility of loss. Laguz: fifth rune of the 3rd aett, 21st of the elder futhark. 2 names, Laguz (lake) / Laukaz (leek). Letter L. Lake, leek, healing, mystery, sea, water, depths, emotions, waterways, flow, obscurity, uncertainty, insanity, neurosis, psychosis, ships, swimming, fishing, medicine, west, diving and oceanography. Laguz darker side/Laukaz as healing.

Dec 8th 2002 (ML) ... after SM rite ... Idea: libation rite at fountain - all bathe with sigil, wash off, collect bottle, pour into fountain

Nov 30th 2002 (ML)

Wrote up details of the Hecate Fountain rite for the group and emailed it out to them, consisting mainly of what I did in making the cakes and the card for Hekate since I was unable to get to the rite (babysitting so Morrigan could go). Tonight, taking my own cake, which has been on my altar, down to the fountain along with gifts of hash seeds and a black stone. Aim is to circle and place. After- walked to fountain, mantra of witches chant 'Isis, Astarte, Diane, Hekate, Demeter, Kali, Innana'. Circled to left and then round the fountain once - into centre across stepping stones, dropping hash seeds around the left side (looking back to St.Peter's) during the circling and b4 entering to center. Placed cake, stone, onion. Tried to lght candle. Retired to tree and smoked fag.

Nov 20th 2002 Percultra Group hold opening 'key-finding' ritual.

Nov 8th 2002 (ML)

Dream. Nephilim. 2 people working on farm. Hole in field - stuff fell in. Circles of fire. Planes with balloonbombs. Furnace/oven. Strong residual effect in AM: fear.

Nov 7th 2002 (ML)

Very unsettled evening on the 6th. Pain in solar plexus, lower legs cramping (3 days of blocked ear and tinnitus by now, startihng on monday morning when I awok after voice workshop). Very strong dreams last night, woken by dampness from sweats' twice: 2 main dreams, only fragmentary memory - one involved Morrigan trying to drive a JCB through an entrance, followed by the police (USA cops) coming down the road and one crashing - me saying to little boy nearby, don't look and then conversation with his mother about how violent Brighton was nowadays. Second dream less clear, not such a sweat.

Developed severe ear blockage, ringing in ear.

Opening working for the Hecate series of workings in PACT. 6 present, various absences. Voice work. Howling, expression, screaming. Calm, relaxed, informal. IAEOU and pentagram to open, laughter to close. Practical, practice, voice very powerful as way of 'opening' body.

Sept 9th 2002 The original idea for my own working around the Hekate Fountain project was developed as part of the work of the Percultra Group, a chaos majik group that worked in Brighton from 2001 - 2002. I wrote up a project called 'the key to the future' which came out of discussion with other members of the group and whilst it was not taken up by the group as a whole, it formed part of a discussion which led to the series of workings.
