| Last day at work! |
| well I'm currently sitting around at home drinking coffee. I've got my exit interview at 3:00 pm this afternoon so I need to be around for that. otherwise, I might as well swan around for another hour before I go in. |

| Churchy Stuff |
It looks like I've been volunteered for the greeting committee at St. Paul's. I'm not really sure how it happened. I got a phone from Dot the other week asking if I would be happy to help with something fairly innocuous like handing out leaflets or saying hello at the door. I now find myself an official greeter for the evening services. Given my fantastic memory for names and faces, it might be something of a challenge. I also agreed to round up helpers for the occasional 'welcome to the church' lunches they occasionally have. At least with those I have a list of people to work through & don't have to try & do it by memory! Well, I'm off to MFI now to try & get some cheap wardrobes for William's room. |

| New car, new PC, new job! |
Well, I've resigned from DrkW and have accepted a job at Barclays Capital in Canary wharf. Start date is 10th November so I've got a few weeks of hanging around doing not a lot at work. On the plus side, I've got a week off work before I have to start. On the negative side, I've just had a phone all from the new boss suggesting some reading for before I join! The car & pc are, of course, due to getting a pay rise so I'm not really in a position to complain. My bogging is now being done on a Viewsonic V1100 tablet PC. Seems ok so far. However the built in wireless adaptor is pretty useless. The signal strength drops off to zero as soon as there is a wall is the way. I've plugged is my Netgear Pcmcia card & currently have a signal strength of 86% instead of Zero Anyway, the car is a Peugeot Partner Combi, one of those cars converted from a van jobs. its a bog standard Quicksilver model with a few hundred quid off and 0% APR over 3 years. Delivery time is only a couple of weeks so I can pretend it's Val's birthday present (as is I would) |
