Car Shows & Events 2009

STOP PRESS NEW FOREST

TO TAKE PLACE ON 11th-13th SEPT 2009

At the AGM in 2008 we were asked to organise a weekend in the South of England. We are now in the process of organising this and we have reserved ten rooms at The Avon Causeway Hotel which is between Ringwood and Christchurch, on the edge of the New Forest. Providing that we can fill these ten rooms, which are all en suite and include breakfast, we might be able to negotiate a reduced price from the listed £75.00 per night. The Hotel is very pleasant and has attached to it a Pullman Railway Coach which has been converted into a luxury restaurant. Breakfast is served in this restaurant and we also have the option of booking it for the evening meal on the Saturday. If this was the case, there is a choice of two four course menus, priced at either £20 or £24.

The schedule for the weekend would be to meet up at the Hotel on Friday evening for a chat, drinks and meal if anyone wished to eat. Saturday will be a tour of the West of Dorset, which is Thomas Hardy Country with many picturesque villages to visit and many places of interest to see. Saturday evening would be a get together to enjoy a meal either in the normal restaurant or as previously mentioned in the Pullman Carriage. Sunday would be a tour of the New Forest, again taking in many places of interest before you have to head for home.
