November 1950
Some of our friends will remember Mr. John Moir Kennard, who for some years lived in
Maldon Road, and with his wife was a regular attendant at the Good Shepherd Church. For
the past few years he had lived at Leicester whith one of his sones. At the end of
September he passed on at the advanced age of 94. Mr. Kennard was a keen musician, and was
even taking organ lessons when he was over 80 years old. He retained the spirit of youth
almost to the last, and when over 80 was asked if ge Bowls replied "Why, that's an
old man's game." He was buried at Loughton Parish Church, Essex, and Mr. Richards had
the privilege of playing the organ at the Funeral. R.I.P.
