New Vicar is Revd. Hills

December 1947

The new Vicar is to be the Rev. Rowland Jonathan Hills, M.A., now Vicar of Forest Row, Sussex. Mr. Hills took a first class Theological Tripos at Selwyn College, Cambridge, in 1938 and was later at Cuddesdon Theological College, Oxford. He is a married man of thirty-six years of age, and they have a family of three girls and a boy.

It seems a happy coincidence that the Vicar of Forest Row should come to the Good Shepherd for the mortal remains of Prebendary and Mrs. Moor were buried there. Forest Row was the home of Gerald Moor and he loved the place and would often go to his sister's house there for a few days' quiet where he could walk in the lovely Ashdown Forest and enjoy a game of golf. We need hardly remind you that Mrs. Moor built the Church in memory of her husband.
