THE REV. J. E. DIETERLE
Most of our readers will have already heard then news that Fr. Dieterlé has been
offered the Vicarage of Burpham near Arundel, and that he has accepted the living. For
some time we have known that a country parish has been Mr. Dieterlé's desire and so for
his sake we congratulate him and Mrs. Dieterlé too and we shall hope and pray they may be
very happy in their new sphere. However, for ourselves we are very sorry indeed to lose
the loyal and arduous help that Mr. Dieterlé has given us and the future presents us with
anxiety owing to the serious shortage of the younger clergy due to war conditions. We will
not say more now but please play earnestly for the guidance and blessing of Almighty God
to Mr. and Mrs. Dieterlé and ourselves.
