PHINEAS 1613-1663
Phineas Tebbutt moved to Sudborough, a village a few miles from Moulton with his first cousin Josias, and 2 more branches of the family were established.
Sudborough was the home of Tebbutts Brewery. The family owned the Brewer's Yard, Maltings and an alehouse called the Round House, which is shown above both as a old drawing and as it appears today.

PETER died 1736
A visit to All Saints Church, Sudborough will reveal many Tebbutt graves, some going back to the 1700's. The family were obviously influential in the development of the village, and probably quite wealthy, judging by the prominent position of the gravestones.
Peter is the ancestor of a very large family group who have descendants in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

JOHN born 1691.
John was one of Peter's sons who moved to another neighbouring Northamptonshire village, Titchmarsh.
The Church of St Mary the Virgin at Titchmarsh is noted for its square and pinnacled tower, which dates back to the 15th Century.
Samuel Pepys came to the village in 1668 to be present at the marriage of his friend John Creed to Elizabeth Pickering; and Robert Keys, who married Margaret Pickering, was a principal agent in the Gun Powder plot in 1605.
