Autumn Term 2009

All rehearsals will be at The Leys School unless otherwise stated. For your convenience a printable map to reach the school can be downloaded from here.

Concert Dates:
14th Nov - Faure
19th Dec - Christmas Concert

Notes:
* denotes rehearsal in St. Andrews and St. Georges - Wed 11th Nov now confirmed!
*** denotes Monday Rehearsal for the male voices (tenors/basses) only!

As well as the Faure requiem we'll be rehearsing some Motets by Bruckner.
Anyway... there will be music that can be ordered from Jenny, our music librarian, at the first rehearsal of term at the cost of £3.95

Are you ready for a Messiah-based smirk?

One of the members brought the "Le Freres de St Francis de la Sissies" performance of the Hallelujah Chorus to our attention. The monastic order concerned is, of course, a silent order.

Unfortunately the original link sent (this one) is too indistinct to see exactly whats's going on. I've since located a later performance by the same folks, this time in the Boston Gay Mens Choir Christmas concert in 2008 - the link to the Youtube video is here. I hope you enjoy watching.
