Limehouse to another Charles John TURNER (presumably his father) on 11th
January 1876. No 'Freedom date' was recorded [information supplied by Rob
Cottrell, from his 'Watermen & Lightermen Index'].

supplied by Rob Cottrell, which gives his birthplace as Rotherhithe. But at the
1861 & 1881 census, it was recorded as Bermondsey. A search of the GRO births
indexes failed to find Charles John's birth registration in Bermondsey or
Rotherhithe.
