Source: Approximate year of birth only, calculated from:
1841 census of Buckland, Hertfordshire -
aged 60, born within county (birthplace error?)
1851 census of Therfield, Hertfordshire -
aged 72, born Bassingbourn, Cambridgeshire
1861 census of Bassingbourn,
Cambridgeshire - aged 81, born Bassingbourn, Cambridgeshire [recorded as G. J.,
which I believe stands for Gilby, Jemima]
1866 death certificate - aged 85
[1532] Source: IGI [Avril Symonds wrote that Jemima's christening date was 17 Nov 1782, so maybe 24 Oct was her birth date?]
[1533] Source: Copy of GRO death certificate
[8369] Source: Marriage register transcript at Cambridgeshire Record Office. Jemima NUNN was 'of Bassingbourn', and Joseph GILBY was 'of this parish, in the Castle'. The Castle was the County Gaol. As far as is known, Joseph was not among the wardens, and is therefore presumed to have been a prisoner. His (presumed) crime or misdemeanour remains unknown.
