Notes: Registered as Mary Ann GILBY, daughter of Eliza GILBY [father not
named]. Four months after Mary Ann's birth, her mother Eliza GILBY
married Henry HAGGER - who may or may not have been Mary Ann's father. At
the 1851 Therfield census, Mary Ann was named as Mary Ann HAGGER, daughter of
Henry HAGGER, and she called herself Mary Ann HAGGAR at the 1861 census.
But at her marriage to Reuben ANDERSON in 1864, she was once again Mary Ann
GILBY. A copy of the marriage certificate might show Henry HAGGER as her
father, but unlikely...
