Occupation
1857 Farmer (marriage of son James)
[4230] Notes: There appears to be some confusion as to whether Ellen's maiden name was DRAPER or ELLISON. At the 1881 Pemberton census, the Anderson family had 2 unmarried male Ellison lodgers, recorded as Charles Anderson's brothers-in-law. From this information, it was deduced that Ellen's maiden name must be Ellison. However, the birth certificate of Charles & Ellen's son James records Ellen's maiden name as Draper. It is possible that Ellen's marriage to Charles Anderson was her second, and that she had been previously married to a man named Draper? Or there may be another explanation? Further research should uncover the answer.....
