A tried and tested energetic campaigner with a wide range of valuable political and life experience. Stuart is 35 and lives in Stockport with his wife Elaine and their two children. Born in Birmingham Stuart travelled to London in 1988 to join the Diplomatic Service. The Bodsworth Family moved to Greater Manchester shortly after the 2001 General Election.
Stuart's Career has taken him from the heart of government in Whitehall via the grey economy and self employment to full time dedication to helping local people. After his A-Levels Stuart joined the diplomatic service gaining useful experience of the the working of Parliament and central government. After a couple of years' management experience in the security industry, Stuart joined the Immigration Service. Seven years later Stuart and Elaine set up the Tattershall Lodge Cafè. Despite making a success of the business, Stuart's political interest took him into full time politics as political advisor to the Lib Dem group on Bedford Borough Council until being offered the job of co-ordinating Cheadle Lib Dems.
Stuart has been a member of four local Parties Serving on three Exec. committees. He has served on Three Regional Executives and has contributed to federal policy working parties on Defence, Early Years and Rural Affairs.
