Small, slightly sloping, scrupulously clean site, max 12 vans. Just off A30 west of Indian Queens, less than 10 miles from Newquay, St Austell or Truro, and run by lovely people.

We stayed at this site at the end of July in a trailer tent with two children.

A very lovely site about 10 minutes walk to 'sandy' beach. Very clean and well maintained site with friendly owners who offered us a choice of positions on arrival.
Toilet facilities vary in luxury from block to block but all are clean and plentiful with free hot water.

Very quiet site at night and peaceful during the day. Swimming pool
small and a bit cold, but was popular with children. There is a crazy golf course and an adventure playground. Rounders and archery was on offer on the summer evenings. There was also a visit from a wildlife expert and a clown on Saturdays.
Take away cafe on site and well equipped shop, launderette and TV room. Dishwashing faculties are also plentiful.

Local beach would be very nice if it had a good clean up. There is a large entertainment complex on the beach which is run down but apparantly is due for improvement. The sand is heavy and gritty. Benefits are that it was always fairly empty so you have lots of room!

North coast only a 40 min drive away if you want more lively cleaner beaches.

we really enjoyed our stay at Carlyon Bay camping park and would not hesitate to return there again.

I would like to tell you of two campsites in the bude area of north Cornwall, They are bude holiday park maer lane bude, And widemouth bay caravan park at widmouth bay Nr bude.

Both in my opinion have very good services for tourers and very good evening entertainment, Both for adults and children at widmouth bay they have the foxy club for the younger children and the usual collection of fruit machine's (not to everyone's taste I know) for the older one's along with good early in club entertainment for the younger one's, Leaving the latter part of the evening to us oldie's. The club has a night club atmosphere about it, ideal for the teenager's.
As I remember both these sites do offer child sitting facilities, Although if these are still an option, you would have to inquire in advance of your visit, bude holiday park is one that my family and I have been visiting since the 1960's and is a very friendly park they as well as widmouth, are supporters of the ginger bread organisation and offer lots
to do, the staff at both sites are very helpful with hints to whats on in the local area, and cannot do enough to help you while you are on site. And as with a lot of other sites offer a comprehensive range of leaflets with local attraction information. Again at both sites meals are provided in on-site restaurants.

These two are well worth a visit If you are not happy I will be very supprised. Go on give either a try. the surrounding countryside and beaches are stunning, summerleaze beach in bude is referred to as the UK's bondi, and is a dog friendly beach, (dog's must be kept on a lead.) Widemouthbay's beach is one mile of golden sand ideal for surfer's, And dog's are allowed at the South end of the beach making these two beaches ideal for familles at anytime.
I forgot to mention that both sites have swimming pools bude's is an outdoor pool, While widmouthbay's is an indoor pool both very good. and both are heated.
