The site is approx an acre of lawned grass. Although the weather was  very wet when I arrived the grass was not slippery or at all muddy. It  appears to be a well drained site. Six electric points. There are seperate  toilets and showers for ladies and gents. All are kept extremely clean. The farm appears to be mainly stabling and pasture for horses. There is quite a  bit of activity with exercising etc. The drive to the farm is a long gravel  track which is fairly smooth but requires some care. Other than that access  is very easy from north or south. Very convenient for Chester. The retail  park on Sealand road is a 5 minute drive. For visiting the city itself the
park and drive is a ten minute walk [2 minute drive] Cheshire Oaks is 15  minutes. There is a golf driving range 2 miles away. The river Dee is at the  end of the cul-de-sac road that the site is situated on less than half a mile. The nearest paper shop is at the garage a couple of miles away. All in  all a well kept little CL that I will definitely return to.

Directions:

From South - Follow Chester south by-pass or A548 towards Birkenhead. About 1
mile after the retail park and just after the park and ride signs turn left on the right hand bend into Ferry Lane [it is a cul de sac sp Saltney via  footbridge] In half a mile just after the residential park turn right into farm road at the yellow road grit box. Turn right into site just past the
cattle grid. There was no problem in leaving whenever I liked on the Monday.

From North - Stay on M56 to the end. Follow signs to North Wales and  Queensferry on A5117. At traffic lights bear left onto A 550 [sp Queensferry] In approx 1 mile over the bridge just past RAF Sealand turn left  onto A548 [sp Chester] In 3 miles immediately after the 40 limit signs turn  right on the sharp left hand bend into Ferry Lane. Then as above. This is a bit further round but is much quicker than towing through Chester.

BEWARE! Do not miss the right turn into the farm track. it is a dead end and  if there are cars on the road turning round will be very interesting! If you pass some cottages after the static site you have gone too far!
