This was our first family camping expedition, and we couldnt have picked a nicer site !
The site was beautifully laid out, with large lakes, and a little stream runing though it. Watersports and Fishing were in abundance. There was a great grassy play area which the children loved, as well as gorgeous walks around the site, and outside the site in the neaighbouring village/countryside.
There were many static caravans on site, abviously many ppl love the place so much they decided to make it permanent ! And also many spots to hook up your own tourer, or, in our case, pitch your tent !
Very flat, well maintained site, it also had a well stocked shop full of essentials which get forgotten, like toothpaste and torch batteries, to the less essential but important items like Footballs and magazines for Mum .
Despite the honourable intentions of taking the Camping stove, we did end up in the delightful on site restaurant. Not exactly haute cuisine, but a good enough range of simple English fare to keep us going, including a kids selection , and the traditional breakfast .
We never tried the take away chip shop, but the smells eminating in the evening were very alluring. Its something to look forward to upon our next visit .
Overall, this was a quiet site, but with enough to occupy a young family . Good toilets and showers, and very reasonably priced . Worth a try for anyone local, and worth a trip if you further away.
