This privately owned site is just a few miles away from
the city of Nottingham It has it's own indoor swimming pool, which
is charged per session. Good shower & pot washing facilities. A
small shop selling fresh produce, free range eggs, fresh French bread,
news papers etc. and has a laundry room with iron. (It also has a freezer
room.) The pitches are level and some have hard standing if required.
Most pitches have hook -up. There is a large children's adventure park
set in the orchard side of the site.
The site is ideal for families and is a good base for
the local walks and places of interest in and around Nottingham
A good pub/restaurant is just a couple of minutes walk away

It's a fairly new site so needs time to mature. It's flat with some
hard standings. There were no toilets or showers but these are planned
and it has a small shop selling basic provisions. It lies at the junction
of the River Trent and the Chesterfield Canal and is literally right
behind a pub. The
restaurant at the pub is quite small so booking is recommended, especially
at weekends. The area I think is relatively unexplored but the town
of Gainsborough is nearby and Doncaster isn't to far as is Lincoln.
The site location is very pleasant with river or canalside walks. Its
seems to be
gaining a reputation as several clubs are tending to rally there at
weekends. A bit of a brave venture in a remote area but it seems to
be paying off. I would certainly go back there but just for a weekend.
