In
the beginning, Orlando was a collection of cow patties and
orange groves, water-skiing shows and gators. Then came the
Mouse. Or, more specifically, a mouse named Mickey and his
creator, a man of fantastic imagination and vision named Walt
Disney. And life in Orlando A.D. (After Disney) hasn't been
the same since. Since the opening of Walt Disney World back
in 1971, Orlando has grown to become one of the world's top
vacation destinations. Love them or loath them, there is no
getting away from Florida's ledgendary Theme Parks. |

Busch Gardens
Tampa Bay
Walt Disney may have put the theme in theme
park, but when it comes to re-creating the wild
in a safe, if slightly sterile, environment
no one does it better than Busch Gardens. Since
it opened 42 years ago as a combined bird sanctuary/visitors
center for Anheuser-Busch.
