I bought my first computer in 1999. Although it wasn’t bought for me to use as a painting tool, I soon found that it would fulfill that need. I began with CorelDraw as my drawing software, updating from version 7, up to the present version 10 (soon to be 11), I had the capability of doing just what I wanted. By adding Bryce 3D and Painter 6 software I could combine each of these as necessary. CorelDraw and Photo-paint are the most powerful and flexible packages with simple to follow interfaces and a wealth of facilities. I work primarily with Corel Photo-paint and find the layers and transparency features exceptional. The work featured on the left are examples created using the above software together with fractal-generation software. The area of fractology is one which I discovered through Corel 7’s Julia Set explorer and which has fascinating possibilites from an artistic and philosophical point-of-view. |
