The main part of this section is as you may assume from the Shadowrun Logo above dedicated to Shadowrun. This is no longer owned by FASA who created it, but my principal experience of Shadowrun was in the FASA era so these pages are most appropriate when used with FASA's 3rd edition version of the gae set around 2060. I will probably keep this to mostly my own stuff though some of that as is noted has appeared elsewhere previously.
I am also devoting some space to Ars Magica. Starting in 1220 its a long time ago but a most interesting time.
The third section here is for the near future game Millleniums End. Living in 1999 in a darker version of the world is dangerous but the technology level is far more what players may be used to, though with a few twists! A selection of characters are presented, both BlackEagle/BlackEagle operatives and assorted NPC's. Being BlackEagle/BlackEagle operatives does not limit characters very much as characters have been know to do most things from no questions asked transportation to bodyguarding to a rather too memorable visit to Yugoslavia as was.
As well as tabeltop games i also play LARP (Live Action RolePlay) which involves acting out you characters actions while dressed up to resemble your character. Most of the fantasy systems use latex weapons for combat (much of the equipment is based mainly upon theatre prop making techniques) and is as safe as any activity involving running about in the countryside assuming a little common sense is employed. Much of the fun comes from the much better appearance of the game (good costumes help a great deal) and the fact that although some of the more fantastic things are difficult to represent that you can see where things are by just looking around. This makes descriptions simpler but brings home a bit of the 'fog of war' to players. The greatest benefit over tabletop gaming is often the immediate nature of the roleplay, which encourages people to stay 'in character' resulting in more depth to the roleplaying experience as you interact with a wide varety of different people.
'People of the Fenslands' some additional material i have wrtten about the fensfolk of the Blood Red Roses system which i play.
Well Babalon 5 just has to get a mention, it's that good, but i like plenty more besides. I might develop something here in the future but don't hold your breath!
