ABOUT US |
In 2002, we started Jam-Modern-Artwork purely as an outlet for our pop art paintings. By 2003, having been selling the paintings fairly steadily over the last year and with additional interest from theme bars, pubs and clubs we started looking at ways to satisfy the growing demand. We were also being asked on a daily basis about shipping worldwide. Due to the size of the canvas paintings we were unable to to find a suitable, reasonably priced solution to shipping the items outside of the UK. We had to look for alternatives to the hand painted work to satisfy the demand from overseas. In 2004 we started to produce our limited edition A1 and A3 art prints and our digital canvas work as cheaper alternatives to the canvas paintings and as a solution to the postage issues for our worldwide customers. By 2005 sales of our limited edition prints were soaring. Regularly posting to the USA and Canada as well as Europe and the UK. We were fast gaining a reputation for high quality original artwork. It was in 2005 that we teamed up with japanese store Noiseking to produce limited edition prints especially for the japanese market. In 2007, our popularity in japan was growing due to our collaborations with Noiseking and we were featured in Loud Magazine. Through the magazine exposure we gained a number of other stores in japan who are now stocking our items, though mostly we are still working with Noiseking to build our reputation in japan. In 2008 we had another couple of magazine features in japan, again leading to more interest from the japanese market, and more work producing special limited editions for Noiseking. It was a very busy year working for the japanese market whilst managing to stay on top of UK sales and trends. So far 2009 is looking good for us. We have had further exposure in japan via Cover Magazine and 2nd Magazine and through collaborations with Armed clothing and the Loveless boutique in japan, we have had our special limited edition prints exhibited. |
