Who Prays
It doesn’t matter anymore
I have heard the slammin door
Too much is left unsaid
Of the secrets of the dead
They know as well as I do
What is lies and what is true
I guess time has reached an ending
But I don’t hear the Angels sing
Two down and one to go
I reap a crop that I didn’t sow
You found a name to fit the crime
And the name that you found was mine
It’s six down in the cold cold
ground
Justice never made a sound
The truth is dead but the lies are fine
Who prays for all the souls like mine
They found him dead in the old school
By a hand so cold and cruel
And just because I knew their names
Then you said I was to blame
But I never was a smart one
But I never held a gun
I don’t know why you never believed me
When I’m sure that you could see
Two down and one to go
I reap a crop that I didn’t sow
You found a name to fit the crime
And the name that you found was mine
It’s six down in the cold cold
ground
Justice never made a sound
The truth is dead but the lies are fine
Who prays for all the souls like mine
Now I am big and I am strong
But I always get things wrong
But the jury they never knew
Just what you put me through
So I’ve been waiting here to die
And my life has passed me by
But there’s blood upon your hands
And it’s the blood of an innocent man
Two down and one to go
I reap a crop that I didn’t sow
You found a name to fit the crime
And the name that you found was mine
It’s six down in the cold cold
ground
Justice never made a sound
The truth is dead but the lies are fine
Who prays for all the souls like mine
Who knows about the souls like mine
Who prays for all the souls like mine
