Biography

Ten Gallon Bratz began with songwriters Mark Dunsmore and Barrie Kelly back in the early nineties. After amassing a substantial and ever-growing body of work they decided to form a band to showcase the songs.

Ten Gallon Bratz exists in two forms, a three piece acoustic band and a full blown five piece band for those “rockier” moments.

The band line up is as follows:

Mark Dunsmore:

Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Dobro, Harmonica.

Barrie Kelly:

Vocals, Acoustic & Electric Guitars, Bouzouki, Keyboards.

Brian Sinclair:

Drums/Percussion.

Michael Lyden:

Vocals, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar.

Stephen Power:

Electric & Acoustic Guitars

To date, the band has produced a number of demo CDs. Their thirteen track acoustic CD entitled “GHOST STORIES” has been a great success and their soon to be released album - "Radio Friendly", which will be a combination of acoustic and full band tunes, already generating a lot of interest.

The acoustic band has been fortunate enough to have supported ex Squeeze front man Glenn Tilbrook on more than one occasion and more recently, supported Irish singer songwriter Eleanor McEvoy when she visited Greenock during her Scottish Tour.

Ten Gallon Bratz music is broadly based in the Americana tradition where glorious three part harmonies are seamlessly combined with infectious hooks and intelligent lyrics. The band in general continues to increase its fan base due to a growing reputation for memorable songs combined with entertaining live shows.
