About me

My name is Mark Davies, or MkIII (Mark Three) to friends.

I live in the UK, just a hundred yards or so from the historic Farnborough Airfield in Hampshire. To pay the rent, I work for a games company in Godalming Surrey, where they force me to use 3ds Max.

Prior to my current career, I worked with aircraft for 17 years, so I am reasonably familiar with the subject, and what bit goes where.

I've also been bashing away at 3d modelling for around 6 years, starting off on DOS RayTracers such as DKBTrace & PoVRay, finally ending up with Lightwave 6.5 & Max.

That's enough boring stuff, let's get on to the things you want to read about... making stuff. But first.... If anyone wants to harangue me further, to criticise, cajole or even compliment, I can often be found lurking about on the 2 main Lightwave Newsgroups at alt.binaries.3d.lightwave & comp.graphics.apps.lightwave. Of course, if you are reading this, then you probably already know that.

If you live elsewhere in the world, and as understand it, there are other places than the United Kingdom, I make no apologies for my funny English spelling & references to £'s shillings & pence.
