.: History - Changing of the guard pt II :.

.: A new face and a welcome return :.

This would only last a matter of weeks however when in June, after much deliberation, Shaun arrived at the conclusion that the band would benefit more if he were to relenquish vocal duties, and focus solely on playing guitar. With this decision being supported by the band there was once again a huge void in Syth ... they needed a singer.

It was at this point the band would be able to find someone who could sing the songs and entertain the crowds in a way befitting of a band of Syth's calibur.

It would be a most familiar face who would in fact re-join the band. Having departed only weeks previously, Legend would return to the band only this time, in the role of Syth's frontman.

Rigorous rehearsals followed, with the Scottish Emergenza final less than three weeks away, it would be a test of the bands mettle to get the new faces familiar with their new surroundings.

They did not disappoint. On the 3rd of July 2005, Syth unleashed themselves on the Carling Academy wowing hundreds of onlookers at what the band had become.

Despite losing out on that day, one thing was clear, the band were now better than ever, this new and untested line-up worked.

The band continued their quest the very next week by headlining the 6 Hours of Hate event in Barfly, again to a superb reaction.
