Caledonian 500 Rally

This was our third event during 2000 when we clocked up about 2500 miles in our wanderings to Killarny, for the "Roaring 20's" Festival Rally, the Lanarkshire Classic, and the Caly 500. These events have become progressively more competitive , and more fun, and there is great disappointment that the 2001 season has been decimated, first by blanketing snow and now by Foot + Mouth. Ann and I would encourage any club member, whatever their experience, to have a go at such events, they're great fun and value for money, the 2 day bash , including entry,accommodation and grub was about £90 all in ! The Bond is an effective competitor, with plenty of torque for the special stages, good maneuverability on the twisty bits and even a heater for those cold mornings! Pity the results show that ,as usual, it's the driver who "Must try harder". Hope to see more TSSCcars on future events.
