HOW DID YOU START OFF JUNIOR HANDLING?
Mum was showing the pointers and I had a go at an exemption show when I was young and enjoyed it so decided to get involved.
DO YOU TAKE PART IN ANY OTHER DOGGY ACTIVITIES (OBEDIENCE,AGILITY,FLYBALL,ETC)?
Done some agility training and range of others at YKC camp but mainly try and concentrate on the handling and showing.
HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU LIVE WITH,OWN AND/OR SHOW?
We have 8 dogs….7 pointers and 1 smooth collie…
WHICH ONES DO YOU USE FOR JUNIOR HANDLING AND WHY?
Mainly Lyric the pointer, simply because she is the most steady and works with me the best….I also handle a friends Rhodesian ridgeback a lot.
WHAT BREEDS HAVE YOU SHOWN BEFORE IN COMPETITION?
Pointers...smooth collies…rough collies...spaniel...ridgeback
TELL US ABOUT HOW TO HANDLE (SHOWING STYLE) YOUR BREED IN JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES?
The pointers you stack with the lead loose and move either on a loose of tight lead depending on the dog.
Ridgebacks you either stack of free stand and generally move on a loose lead…but again depends on the dog.
WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY WEAR IN COMPETITION?
Black suit…or red shirt and black trousers
WHAT ARE YOUR BEST ACHIEVEMENTS?
2nd and Richmond 2006…4th Crufts 2006…3 1st s Crufts 2005 & 2nd ‘06 ….general wins at champ shows….CC’s and reserve CC’s….
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE OCCASION SO FAR?
Probably Richmond….but YKC camp 2006 was amazing.

Bitching around the ring, and when the judge doesn’t know what they are doing.
