'Musical Pick and Mix'

The Eastbury Players FIRST concert!

'Musical Pick and Mix' was The Eastbury Players first concert as a group. The first performance was at Barking College
on 26th January 2002 and then on Sunday 27th January 2002 at St. George's Hospital, Hornchurch.

Producer - Phil Kiddell

Phil Philip Kiddell is a retail manager for a ski and outdoor activities store. His hobbies are music and theatre. In 1988 he founded Cameo Players, and he was a member of Barking Operatic Society for over 18 years, during which he has been, at times, both Chairman and producer of many shows, most recently Trial by Jury and Guys and Dolls. He has appeared in various productions as Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!, Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly!, Moon Face Martin in Anything Goes and Heinzie in The Pajama Game. He is the Chairman of The Eastbury Players and the producer of 'Musical Pick and Mix' - the society's first ever show.

Musical Director - Malcolm Swan

Malcolm Malcolm Swan is an Honours Graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied piano and trombone. He is widely experienced as a pianist, ensemble player and accompanist, also as a freelance trombonist and teacher. Currently he works as a class teacher at a Junior School in Havering and he has just successfully completed a Masters degree at Goldsmiths University London, in music performance.

Choreographer - Christine Presland

Chris This is Chris' first show with Eastbury Players, but is no stranger to performing or choreographing. She has been a member of Havering Music Makers since 1997, performing in many shows at the Queen's Theatre including playing Minnie Fay in 'Hello Dolly' and, more recently, Sally in 'Me and My Girl'. Chris' primary talent is dancing and she has choreographed for HMM in 'The Time Show' and 'Stars' at the Queen's and also 'A Variety Show' and 'A Show of Two Halves' at Campion School. She attends the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where she is training to be a dance teacher, specialising in tap. She also attended The Academy Drama School. Chris would like to thank the cast for their hard work and for welcoming her to the group.
