During that time she has been fortunate enough to play the following musical roles: Peep-Bo in The Mikado, Adelaide Adams in Calamity Jane, Dolly in Hello Dolly (twice!), Lady Thiang in The King and I, Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof, Jane in Patience, the title role in Iolanthe, Sarah in Guys and Dolls, Laurey in Oklahoma!, The Duchess in Me and My Girl, and Josephine in Eastbury's HMS Pinafore. Sue was very fortunate recently to be asked to take the role of Miss Sherman in a production of Fame performed by the youth group of Ilford Operatic Society. For Eastbury, SUe also 'broke a duck' last year and co-produced her first concert - A Right Royal Revue. Chris
Chris has choreographed all of Eastbury Players shows to date and is an experienced performer and choreographer. Her peforming experience started at The Academy Drama School, where she gained Lamda acting medals. Whilst at college, she joined Havering Music Makers and her parts in shows at the Queen's Theatre include Minnie Fay in ‘Hello Dolly’, Sally Smith in ‘Me and My Girl’ and, most recently, principal dancer in 'Mack and Mabel'.
When she’s not whipping us into shape, Chris is busy rehearsing for HMM’s production of ‘Salad Days’, in which she has the lead role of Jane. In 2001, Chris joined Eastbury Players and her most recent part was in last year’s production of ‘HMS Pinafore’ in which she played Cousin Hebe. Chris has recently sung in a concert with Sweet Cookies, a female harmony gorup.
Chris' primary talent is dancing and she has choreographed for HMM in ‘The Time Show’ and ‘Stars’ at the Queen's and also ‘A Variety Show’ and ‘A Show of Two Halves’ at Campion School. She attends the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where, in the hope of leaving the Insurance world behind her, she is training to be a dance teacher, specialising in tap. To prepare her for this, Chris is now tunning adult tap classes locally. As always, Chris would like to thank the cast and her boyfriend, Nick for their continued hard work and support!
