You can also get written directions for road journeys: at the top of the page, click on 'Get directions'.  In 'Start address' and 'End address' boxes, enter either
1) start town and destination town or
2) start postcode and destination post code or
3) any mixture of postcode and town

Then click on 'Search'.  To get directions for the return journey, click on the two arrows between the Start address and End address boxes.

A very useful map of Oxford city centre showing the location of colleges, libraries, churches and theatres, as well as some stores, pubs and restaurants can be found on the Traveline website:

Enter 'Oxford' in the 'From' box and the name of another town in the 'To' box

●  Click on the green 'Submit' button

●  On the next page, check that the correct 'Oxford' is selected, then click on 'Submit'

On the next page, to the right of the journey details, you'll see 'Map' buttons to click on.  (It's not possible to provide a quick link to this map.)

Click on the 'PDF' button (red Adobe logo) to get a map showing all the town.

A search for travel routes to other towns at will give access to maps for those towns.
