Many people walk their dogs at Seven Fields, most of them are very good friends to the Reserve, acting as voluntary wardens and alerting us, the Borough Council and the Police to anything untoward. They support us by joining as members, helping on a daily basis to pick up litter, helping to pick Ragwort, joining in our work parties and supporting us in our campaigns.

We find that dog walkers are very regular in their habits, so we know who is about at what time of day (and night).  We find that they rarely drop litter -that is done by those who use the Reserve to pass through between the communities - most litter comprises of drinks cans, empty crisp and cigarette packets!

There are no Poop or Litter bins at Seven Fields. During a public consultations prior to declaration as a Nature Reserve, most people wanted Seven Fields kept as near to looking like countryside as possible to make up for all we had lost, and agreed that there should be as little urban park 'furniture' as possible.

Seven Fields is covered by the Poop Scoop Laws, so please pick up after your dog and dispose of it at home!
