Paisley North SNP

Paisley North Constituency Association consists of three local branches;

Renfrew Town,

Paisley Tannahill and

Linwood.

Each of these branches hold regular meetings and elect their own office bearers. All members of each branch are welcome to attend the CA meetings. CA meetings are normally held on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

The SNP is also represented locally by our MSP's and Councillors.

MSPs

There are four West of Scotland SNP MSPS. They are Stuart McMillan, Bill Wilson, Gil Paterson and Stewart Maxwell. The SNP office is located at 14 William Street Paisley, PA1 2LZ.

Councillors

The SNP are in administration in Renfrewshire Council. The elections in May 2007 resulted in 17 SNP councillors being elected, with at least one councillor in each of the 11 multi-member council wards in Renfrewshire. Derek Mackay, who represents the Renfrew North Ward is the Council Leader. Celia Lawson (Paisley East & Ralston) is Provost and Iain Nicolson (Erskine & Inchinnan) is Depute Provost. The SNP are currently the largest group within Renfrewshire Council.

Renfrew Town Branch

Renfrew Town Branch meet on the second Tuesday of each month between 7:30pm and 9:30pm within Renfrew Town Hall . All members, new and old, welcome.

Paisley Tannahill Branch

Paisley Tannahill Branch normally meet on the third Thursday of every month in the SNP Rooms, 14 William Street, Paisley at 7:30pm. For more details contact Kenny MacLaren.
