48 Ditchling Rise is a Victorian house located in central Brighton (UK) built in 1885. For the past 27 years it has been renovated to create a warm and friendly environment for creative minds. What started as a renovation project has developed into one of the most popular of the artists' open houses during the now famous May Brighton arts festival.
The present owners are truly Art orientated. Angie is the artist in residence and curates the art exhibitions in the house. Marc is the leading force in the presentation of the artwork. The framing workshop is professionally equipped and caters for local artists and designers alike. (Please click on Framing services for further details.) For the past few years they have succesfully hosted popular shows. In a simple but judicious combination of display within the house; the artwork is presented in an home environment, thus enabling potental buyers to appreciate art in a more friendly manner.
Not only are they interested in displaying 2D work, but have a very good reputation for sourcing interesting ceramics, unusual jewellery, beautifully made textiles and well crafted wood, metal and stone.
