All line widths an symbol dimensions (in the International Specification for Orienteering Maps) must be held within 20% (5% for ISOM2000) of their specified value. Deviations from the nominal values must only be used to improve legibility.

The following symbols have a definition in the default OCADv5 symbol set that do not exactly match the (1990) International Specification for Orienteering Maps definition:-

Form line 103 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Earth bank 106 has a gap between tags of 0.75mm, ISOM specified 0.5mm.

Small earth wall 108 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Impassable cliff 201 has a gap between tags of 0.75mm, ISOM specified 0.6mm.

Passable rock face 203 has a gap between tags of 0.75mm, ISOM specified 0.5mm.

Open sandy ground 211 has an ambiguous definition, see the symbol definition for commentary.

Minor water channel 307 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Indistinct marsh 311 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Open land with scattered trees 402 has an ambiguous definition, see the symbol definition for commentary.

Rough open land with scattered trees 404 has an ambiguous definition, see the symbol definition for commentary.

Vehicle track 505 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Footpath 506 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Small path 507 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Ruined stone wall 520 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm.

Fence 522 has the fence tags going in the wrong direction compared with the ISOM. The defined angle should be 120º (Mike Godfree)

Ruined fence 523 has a gap between dashes of 0.3mm, ISOM specified 0.25mm, and has the fence tags going in the wrong direction compared with the ISOM. The defined angle should be 120º

High fence 524 has the fence tags going in the wrong direction compared with the ISOM. The defined angle should be 120º

Uncrossable boundary 707 has a line thickness of 0.35mm, ISOM specified 0.7mm.
