It is a requirement of the BOF Map Rules to show the details of the holder of the copyright. It is usual for the copyright to follow the funding, but the mapping contract should clarify the situation.

Ordnance Survey acknowledgement must be included if any part of the map is derived from OS. copyright sources. The following statement must be included:-

Based on the Ordnance Survey Map with the sanction of the controller HMSO. Crown Copyright Reserved. The OS. licence number 43423U and the maps BOF registration number must be included on British maps.
