Projects
These

of
years ago, our epic voyage of, which members of the club will have read about in the
"Newsletter"

The a
bove Scammell Scarab was sold from
Gateshead Depot into farm use at Morpeth together with Townsman JDN 379E
(Pictured Left) Both stood in a field out of use for twenty years before being
discovered and purchased. The Townsman was substantially restored and then
passed onto LYNX PARCELS who are completing the restoration. The Scarab was
passed onto Ken Roe who began restoration. It is now in the possession of Chris Manning. At the time of writing the Scarab has been stripped down to its
chassis, which was found to be badly corroded.

Our Chairman, John Downs is progressing well with his total re-build of the 1957 Scarab NDN 759 All the mechanics are now complete. Work continuing on the cab and electrics.
A Mechanical Horse 3 ton. An Ex military vehicle, which is not registered. Sold at auction at Ruddington 13th to 16th February 1968 bringing the princely sum of £15.00
This vehicle was purchased in 1998 from an enthusiast in Hull. by our Chairman John Downs. As you can see a complete re-build of the wooden cab is required.
Pictured below is the editor's Dave Smiths Reliant Ant (Angus) in various states of repair. we will of course be waiting with bated breath on the completion of this renovation.
