St Alban's Parish Church (Anglican) - Priest in Charge Rev. Philip Stead

On the 5th November 1910 the foundation stone for this church was laid by the Duke of Portland of Welbeck Abbey, and dedicated on the 2nd July 1911 by the Bishop of Southwell. The church is built of Bulwell stone with Weldon stone dressings.
In 1937 an additional North Aisle was built.
On the 16th July 1968 a large proportion of the church was damaged by fire. After repairs and refurbishment it was re-hallowed on the
20th May 1969.

St Patrick's (Catholic) Church - Father ?

The first Catholic Church was established in Forest Town in the late 1950's on Clipstone Road West.
(The building was once a Wesleyan Chapel)
The old church demolished and replaced by the present red bricked church built on the same site. The foundation stone for the new church was laid on the 11th February 1989 by the
RT REV JAMES J. McGUINNESS, Bishop of Nottingham.


Forest Town Trinity Methodist - Rev. Bob Jones

This red brick and stone was built and opened in 1905, as the Primitive Methodist Chapel at a cost of around £650. It stands well back from the road on Clipstone Road West, (across from the Catholic Church).
In March 2000 a special service was held to the opening of a new kitchen and toilet extension.
In 2006 Trinity Café which opens most Tuesdays was started.

Calvary Chapel - Pastor Bryce Heard

Meeting held in Kingsway Hall, Forest Town.
The Calvary Chapel Café opened in August 2006 and is on Clipstone Road West.

St David's Mission Church - Anglican (Closed)

This wood and corrugated iron Church was built on the corner of Old Mill Lane and Clipstone Road (West) in 1905. It was lit by oil lamps, had wooden chairs and a small organ.
After the new church of St. Alban's was opened in 1911 (adjacent to the Mission Church), this became the Parish Rooms/Church Hall. It was demolished in the 1960's when a new Church Hall was built and opened in 1967. This Hall has now also been demolished.

Wesleyan Methodist Chapel (Closed)

The Wesleyan 'Tin Chapel' situated on Clipstone Road West was opened around 1910 and served the community until it was sold c1953. It later became the Catholic Church.
