My name is Angel and I'm an alcho....no wait wrong place wrong time....

I'm an artist (duh) and unlike every other artist out there, I HAVEN'T been drawing since I was able to grip a pencil, there always has been a creative aspect to me though So what do we know about me...Umm...my nickname is angel thanks to one of my friends re christening me due to their absent mindedness about my name), My birthday is on the 5th February and I like cheese...

I never really intended to go down this whole art path, it was always my intention to be a computer guy, I was a hairs breadth from going to do a computer programming qualification...then someone told me I could draw....well in truth they said.. "hey that's good ....for you anyway" and so the great adventure began. I quit computers for a pencil and paint and wandered off scratching my head.

Confused I took my high school art course, passed, a National diploma in Art and design, passed, a Higher national diploma, Passed and then I took my Batchelor of arts degree...and passed...by then I had a lot more compliments (well more like "Hey you drew THIS?" which I took as a compliment). That was a few years ago, since then I kinda went back to computers, then went running back to pencils because in all the time it took to get my certificates computers became scary.... then went running back to computers, I am estimating a panicked run to pencils any time soon though...

What is art to me? Umm pictures mostly...true art though evokes a response, whether it makes you 'feel' part of the image or just makes you feel like throwing it in a fire so it doesn't offend your eyes. That is the aim of true art. That is the aim of 90% of artists, for me, I try for balance some of my pictures go for the jugular so to speak, to make you feel the image in its basest sense, to pull an emotion out of you with a pair of red hot tweezers, others are there just to look at and go OOooooh

There are influences everywhere for me, from cloud shapes I see on a long bus journey, to advertismanets and movies, but the most profound influence on me are my friends, Kelle, Kate, Humpty, Bubba and everyone else in my life, don't be offended by the non personal mentions but if I personally mentioned everyone then it would be a never ending stream of names which mean nothing to anyone else, and I would still end up missing people out.

I live in Swansea, which is in the UK, more specifically Wales, which is a seaside town filled with, umm stuff, okay in truth I want to get out, I like to travel and if you would like to contribute to the K.
