This thread is for writing and logging 'meta-plot' events--that is, occurrences too far away or too broad in scope to write at a 'character' level. It is also useful for writing the more long-term or far-reaching consequences of events in a Story Thread, for bridging two or more Story Threads, or for providing characters throughout the GC universe with a new situation to react to.
AINN posts can focus on any area of the GC universe: Earth or Kaliar politics, Zutorkian troop movements, or even recaps of the daring actions of your Mek squad or commando team.
All the basic GC rules still apply within this thread. Therefore, the events chronicled here may have as dramatic or subtle an effect on the rest of the plotline as you see fit, but they are still subject to moderator review and the necessities of story balance. Thus, a Zutorkian war fleet may show up on the border of Alliance space, but they won't vaporize Earth right away, nor will Earth counterforces invent teleporter beams to stop them. See the initial examples for ideas.
