Trident's Call (30/08/00 )
ADMIRAL........
The Graying, old Fox shook himself awake, "Report..."
WE HAVE REACHED BEACON 2, PREPARING FOR CROSSOVER
"Computer, I thought #3 was already operational?"
NEGATIVE, SIR, THE BEACON IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
"What's in system? I'll need to pickup a hypersled to make it to Vendoria from here."
ONE ALLIANCE FRIGATE, THIS PARTICULAR MODEL IS OUTFITTED WITH BETWEEN 2-3 HYPERSLEDS
The Star Pheonix began its crossover operation and entered system near the jump beacon. A lone silhoutte approached with weapon ports open and loaded for bear.
This is the Frigate Trident please identify yourself.
Tor activated a channel "This is the Star Pheonix in route to Vendoria, Admiral Torvaine in command."
Admiral! This is Captain Graison, sir... how can we be of assistance?
"I need a hypersled, one designed for a medium vessel. I need to get to VDS-1."
Aye sir, we'll detach one now. Its a good thing you caught us, we were being sent to investigate some activity at 185 blue. Unusual power signals have been detected, we need to sweep the area. As a major route for our hyperspace drones between HQ and Geltor III, we need to make sure the area is clear of Gyran activity.
"Carry on, I don't want to delay you too long from your patrol, thanks for the sled."
No problem sir, Gaison out.
"Good hunting"

On Board the stealth frigate Trident The Captain looked worried.
"Why would a Flag officer be heading to VDS-1 without escort?"
Mr. Kristoff shrugged "Brass.... uh, I mean Admiralty... sir."
Gaison smirked, "set course for 185 blue."
Gaison watched as the Star Pheonix linked with the hypersled and began to charge-up for hyperspace.
"Sir, we've just received word to detain Admiral Torvaine!"
The Star Pheonix Sped off into hyperspace.
"What? Why didn't we receive a message sooner?"
The Comm officer looked a little amused, "Apparently someone rewired the whole Comm array with episodes of Baywatch 3200."
Gaison held his head in dismay and could barely hold back his laughter, "Arrgh, will it never end? Do they advise pursuit?"
"Negative, Command wishes us to continue on our mission, but to advise VDS-1"
"From where we are the planet Vendoria is physically blocking any direct communication... it will take a bit longer. I hope whatever he's doing is worth it."
