As if injuries from the "accidents" in Engineering weren't enough to keep GC staff busy, the VDS1 counseling and psychiatric centers are suddenly choked with cases of traumatic nightmares, vivid flashbacks, hallucinations, and nervous breakdowns. At first the phenomenon is blamed on battle stress, a result of the unceasing pressure GC forces have been forced to keep up against Gyran armies. It soon becomes apparent, however, that something more frightening is at work. A malevolent telepathic presence, trying to break Galaxy Corps soldiers' morale--and minds--beyond repair...
