Something is amiss on VDS1.
Strange accidents are occurring in Engineering and in the hangars, disrupting activity there and injuring personnel. Meks and skimmers develop inexpicable malfunctions that hinder their fighting capability, endangering GC combat missions. To add to the chaos, GC technological secrets keep turning up in Gyran hands. Apparently there are Gyran operatives hard at work in VDS1's halls.
With Galaxy Corps a newly formed unit of extremely mixed composition, no one yet knows who they can trust. Could that quiet Kalai nurse be a Gyran spy? Or perhaps the brash cyborg Mek pilot? A Zutorkian always looks suspicious--and what about that Fenrir diplomat, staying on the station for no apparent reason? Not to mention the shipload of mercenaries whose members include aliens few people have ever even heard of, much less seen in Alliance space...
A witch hunt seems imminent.
Tensions are already high, with the threat of Gyran attack on almost every side, and with the added danger of "accident" or direct attack from a Gyran infiltrator, the situation goes from bad to worse. Suspicions mount, and fragile first relationships are pushed to the edge of disaster...
(This is to be a completely character-driven plotline. Anyone who would like to get a piece of the main action in the story, contact me--perhaps one of your characters is the mysterious saboteur? Or there could be more than one!)
