This space armor battlesuit was designed using the official GURPS: Mecha mecha design rules (tech level 9). If you are familiar with these rules, you might understand all of the information below. If not, just read the description section.
The Chaos Space Battlesuit was designed for zero-gravity combat. Its relatively small size (as opposed to a mek, anyway) allows it to maneuvre in tight spaces, such as the corridors of a spacecraft. It is, essentially, the "standard" battlesuit for armored space marines. (For those of you familiar with the game Starcraft, the suit bears a limited resemblance to the suit that the terran marines wear. I will upload a sketch of the suit later, if I have time.)
Standing at about 2.1 meters tall, the Chaos is quite impressive up close. It's speed is limited to a mere 9 mph when running, but it is equipped with a back pod-mounted fusion thruster that can propel it at up to 120 mph. The pod contains a fuel supply that lasts for 1 hour of continuous thrust. When maneuvring in space (no atmosphere), the Chaos can accelerate at 1.14 G.
The Chaos has a variety of subsystems to aid the wearer during combat. The suit is vacuum-sealed, and equipped with a 12-hour air supply and a feeding tube containing liquidized rations in the helmet. The body of the suit is specially designed to allow the wearer to don it in a matter of seconds in case of an emergency.
The electronics suite of the suit consists of multiple components. An integral trauma maintenance system keeps the pilot alive and conscious, administering drugs and measuring vital signs (which can be viewed externally, as those of a mesh mek can). An advanced Heads-Up-Display (HUD) combines with an advanced targeting computer to provide fearsome accuracy; this computer can also coordinate targeting data from similarly equipped friendly units within communication range. It's head-mounted sensor suite has a range of 2 miles on active mode, or 4 miles on passive mode (4x visual magnification). The suit has no faceplate, so the pilot must rely on its DLTV sensors for vision.
The Chaos is armed with only two weapons, but both are more than effective against similarly sized targets. It has a rapid-fire gauss gun underslung on the right arm of the suit, activated by controls inside the suit's arm. A single 57mm light missile tube sitting on the suit's left shoulder can be used to attack heavily armored targets; however, the launcher only holds 5 shots. The suit's advanced armor protects against all manner of small-arms fire, but it is vulnerable to some explosive weapons. The thruster pod on the back of the suit is the least-armored area; it has half the armor defense of the head.
