Technology: the calthean EHA suit.
Considered a vital part of a shapeshifter’s arsenal, the EHA (environmental holographic array) suit allows the wearer to alter the appearance of their clothing at will.
The suits can store settings in a limited memory, but most caltheans go the whole hog and have an interface surgically installed which allows total control over the suit’s appearance. While the suits themselves can be worn and operated by any humanoid, the interfaces are only suitable for Caltheans.
(note that the EHA suit can be used as camoflage, but is no more effective than any other camoflaged clothing.)
