Professional Background & Experience

I have been working as a supervisor since 1986, first with counselling trainees and since 1990 with counsellors and then with psychotherapists, both on an individual and a group basis. For the last ten years I have been supervising individuals on average about 450 hours per year, more in recent years.

I also am available for clinical supervision for other helping professionals.

I am UKCP registered.

Fees & Contracts

I currently charge on a sliding scale between £55 and £70 per session for weekly supervision; reduced fee arrangements are occasionally possible. For coaching and mentoring supervision and special contracts higher fees may apply. Those on high incomes (hourly rates > £100) are invited to pay an extra amount which will be donated to charity.

Sessions are 60 minutes, and take place in my consulting room in Botley, West Oxford. I occasionally have some limited availability for supervision sessions in London.

Cancellations: I usually charge the full fee if a session is cancelled a week or less in advance. If cancelled between two weeks and one week in advance, I usually charge half the fee.

Yearly schedule & holidays: I indicate all my holiday dates at the beginning of the academic year in September. Once a year, fees increase in line with inflation, also after the summer break in September.
